SmartMask Concept
SmartMask is not just a mask concept that filters out infectious virii and other particulates, it also monitors and reports biometric information, lets you check the filter level, make calls with a built in microphone, and much more. The SmartMask concept provides increased transparency with our environment. Living with fewer constraints while maintaining a strong focus on comfort, personal protection, and safety.
Tracking Vitals
The SmartMask concept includes built-in sensors to track important vitals, and syncs that data with a mobile device for users to keep track of their health and filter levels. SmartMask could also track breathing patterns, look for clues in voice patterns, and analyze a users cough to pro-actively alert them if they might have contracted COVID-19.

Filter Usage Indicator
It is vital to know exactly when a mask filter is ready to be replaced. Besides receiving mobile alerts, the mask would provide its own indication of filter usage level. It could also understand the environment inside the mask and provide awareness of increased CO2 levels (which is common after extended mask usage), and helpful other information.
• When the LED is green your mask is fully charged.
• When it glows yellow, it’s time to change the filter.
• When it glows red, the filter should be changed right away.

Move With Confidence
These SmartMask concepts are designed to provide users with confidence in their level of protection at all times.
Recharge and Refresh
Users would be able to recharge the SmartMask using a standard USB-C cable. A single charge could last for several weeks of average daily use. The mask concept is also washable, repairable, and made from recycled materials.

Speak Easy
Users could make calls without removing their mask, and have clear and audible socially distanced conversations with SmartMask acoustical enhancements.

The Perfect Fit
SmartMask would come in a variety of standard sizes and shapes to fit different faces. Proposed sizes include small, medium and large with deep, medium, or shallow facial depth varieties.
Contextual Info & Alerts
Users could also receive contextual alerts when they are entering a risk zone, or an area that has been flagged with heightened health warnings.
